About Us

We are a dedicated team that believes each helping hand has the power to transform a child’s life and build a better future.

In 2023 Alec Litchard suffered a sports injury in Youth Football at the age of 10. The injury didn’t get better despite physical therapy and many doctors appointments. Alec lost his appetite and was complaining of pain more and more in his pelvic region. In October of 2023 he was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma which is many times misdiagnosed as a sports injury in young people.

Our family made the decision to travel to CHOP (Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia) which is about 3 hours away from where we live in Central PA. In traveling for treatments, for almost a year, Alec and our family learned first hand how difficult this can be mentally, emotionally, physically, and financially on a family. Alec had the vision and heartfelt desire to want to help other kids and their families who have to travel for pediatric cancer treatments. He wanted to support families with lodging expenses, gas expenses, and meal expenses.

Alec also wanted to help comfort kids as the stress of pokes, treatments, doctors evaluating you and the sharing of news gets to be too much. He loved stuffed animals and wanted kids to have a “worry pet” a stuffy they could give their sad feelings to and bring them comfort. Donating stuffed bears for the Child Life Specialists on the Oncology floors to be able to distribute to pediatric patients was an important goal of his.

About Alec

Alec was a larger than life kid.  Everything he did was big, bold and done with whole heart.  He loved life, his family, friends and more than anything making others laugh and smile.  He will always be remembered for infectious smile, his love of football, baseball, riding 4-wheelers and playing video games.  Though his time here was short, Alec’s light shined brightly and he will be deeply missed, loved and cherished.
